AccelChip, a company which creates digital signal processing cores, has created a new core generator specially designed to to create cores from Matlab algorithms based on SVD. These cores will focus on efficiently converting SVD matrix inversion and factorization algorithms into FPGAs and ASICs. Sensor array processing is important in identifying sources of energy and mitigating noise and relies on the SVD algorithm due to its ability to always produce a result.
In addition to SVD, AccelChip’s flows also have factorization and inversion cores using QR and Cholesky decomposition.
