“Last month I used the video Plate Tectonics: An Introduction
as a reinforcement after learning about Alfred Wegener and Continental Drift,” reports Michelle Lane of The Roeper School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. “Then we used the interactive map at Tectonic Plates, Earthquakes, and Volcanoes
as part of a small group thinking/ problem-solving activity. The students were asked to identify any relationships they could think of regarding the locations of earthquakes and volcanoes. The interactives help make the concepts so much more concrete for the students. I am thrilled to have access to such a wonderful storehouse of media to share with my students. The short length of time it takes to use these resources makes it really easy to apply them to my curriculum and the kids love them.”
