In honor of the upcoming National Day on Writing (October 20, 2009), the National Council of Teachers of English have created a National Gallery of Writing where individuals can contribute any type of writing composition. Beyond Penguins has created its own Local Gallery within the National Gallery of Writing. We invite elementary teachers, students, researchers, and others to share their understanding of the polar regions, their uniqueness, and their importance to the planet. Any format is welcome - poetry, prose, essay, journal, narrative, and even multimedia.
