Share Your Writing In the Beyond Penguins Online Gallery

What do the polar regions mean to you? Why are they important – to you as an individual and to the planet as a whole?

We invite you (and your students) to share an original piece of writing (any format or length) on this topic at the Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears Online Gallery at http://www.galleryofwriting.org/galleries/97953. This online gallery is part of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)’s National Day of Writing, which is scheduled for October 20, 2009. Read about the gallery at http://www.galleryofwriting.org/about_national_gallery.php and the National Day of Writing at http://www.galleryofwriting.org/about_ncte.php.

Begin sharing your work with us at http://www.galleryofwriting.org/contribute.php. You’ll create a profile and then be able to select our gallery (Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears) and upload your work.

Please share this request with anyone else who might be interested. We hope to have a well-rounded selection of entries from educators, students, and researchers when our gallery debuts on October 20!
