Climate Is the Theme of 2009 Earth Science Week

Earth Science Week, sponsored annually by the American Geological Institute, promotes scientific understanding of a timely topic. For this year’s event (October 11-17), the topic is our climate.

Background information, activities, events, and more are planned for all age groups. The Earth Science Week web site provides links to resources for teachers, students, and participating geoscientists, subscription to a newsletter (Earth Science Week Update), and sources of posters and other materials.

The Earth Science Week Toolkit contains a variety of resources, including posters, DVDs and CDs, news about contests for young people, activity sheets, and climate literacy materials provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Single orders of the toolkit are $6.95. Bulk orders of 10 copies or more may be provided at a discount rate,

You can keep up with news about the October event by joining the Earth Science Week fan page on Facebook.
